The deferred prosecution agreement filed against MRA Holdings, LLC, a film company started by Joseph R. Francis, maker of the “Girls Gone Wild’ sexually explicit DVD films. The company admitted that from 2002 to part of 2003, the company filmed performers, produced, and distributed sexually explicit video materials, but failed to keep records required under federal law to prevent the sexual exploitation of children. Under the agreement Joseph Francis, Mantra Films and MRA Holdings agree to pay a total of $2.1 million in fines and restitution. MRA Holdings agreed to employ an independent outside monitor during the three-year deferred prosecution agreement to help ensure that the company complies with federal laws.
