Participants to Call for New Jobs Agenda: Growth Led by New Energy, New Global Strategy for Public Investment
WASHINGTON, Oct. 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Leading lawmakers, economists and progressive and labor leaders will gather to discuss how to build a new economy out of the ashes of the old one at a day-long conference on Thursday. The meeting, hosted by the Institute for America's Future and the Alliance for American Manufacturing, will be held at the Washington Court Hotel on Capitol Hill.
The conference will address President Obama's challenge to end the "bubble economy" of speculation and debt and to build a new foundation by calling for an economy that creates jobs that build a 21st Century infrastructure, ushers in a clean energy future and positions America to thrive in the global marketplace.
