Mr. Lawson noted that, "Last year's tour had a positive impact on the perception of Russia as a business partner for the U.S. and the potential that lies in closer bilateral trade relations. We will continue that conversation in order to help balance the picture on Russia and alert U.S. companies to opportunities in this fast-growing emerging market."
Welcome attention to the U.S.-Russia bilateral relationship is beginning to take hold in Washington, DC and Moscow with the announcement of a U.S.-Russia Economic Dialogue. The U.S.-Russia Business Council hopes to amplify that effort by taking the conversation on U.S.-Russia cooperation on tour across the United States to encourage U.S. firms and farmers to move beyond the headlines to consider Russia's potential for greater bilateral cooperation.
