Key Ocean County Republican Organization Endorses Justin Murphy for Congress

TOMS RIVER, N.J., Apr. 16 /PRNewswire/ --

TOMS RIVER, N.J., April 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Murphy for Congress announced on April 11 that the Traditional Republicans of Ocean County (TROOC) have endorsed him for the Republican Nomination in New Jersey's 3rd Congressional District.

"I am honored to have the friendship and endorsement of the TROOC in Ocean County. They are a very potent group of civic-minded citizens who want to end the days of bossism, corruption, and hand-picked candidates from a back-room. The numbers they tallied in last years Ocean County elections were impressive by any measure. I am honored to be allied with Sabrin for Senate, Freeholder Candidate Suzanne Penna, County Clerk Candidate Pete McCarthy, and Surrogate Candidate Don Lombardi."

"This organization, like me, is committed to providing alternatives to hand-picked candidates that come from political bosses and county machines."

"The dynamics of this race have been altered dramatically. TROOC's endorsement gives the Murphy campaign something the other candidates do not have: The ability to cross a county boundary and be competitive there. My opponents are stuck in their respective 'backyards.' TROOC's endorsement makes me the only candidate in this race that has the capacity to garner votes in both Burlington and Ocean counties."

"I have communicated consistently that I am a 3rd district candidate, not a single county candidate. I have knocked on doors in Cherry Hill as aggressively as I have in Burlington County. And now, with TROOC's endorsement, I have a ground game in all three counties in the 3rd district."

"My candidacy is a serious one, no one can deny that. TROOC's endorsement, along with Mayor Bret Schundler's and Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 200, gives enormous credibility to my campaign. We had a very good day today."
