ED in 08 Chairman Roy Romer to Address the Education Policy and Leadership Center Regarding the Role of Education in the Presidential Election

WASHINGTON, April 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- ED in 08 Chairman, Roy Romer, who previously served as the three-term governor of Colorado, DNC Chairman and Superintendent of Los Angeles Schools will discuss the role education is playing in the 2008 presidential election at The Education Policy and Leadership Center Forum.


ED in 08 is a national, nonpartisan campaign that calls on all the presidential candidates to propose plans to ensure that American students will graduate from high school with the skills needed to compete in a global economy. All three leading presidential candidates have made public statements in support of at least one of ED in 08's policy pillars: implementing stronger American standards, ensuring that there is an effective teacher in every classroom and increasing time and support for student learning.
