Pakistan charges 7 suspects in Mumbai attacks
ISLAMABAD (AP) - A prosecutor says seven Pakistani suspects in last year's terror attacks in Mumbai have been indicted on terror charges. Malik Rab Nawaz says all the men pleaded not guilty to the charges Wednesday.

UK: NATO to offer 5,000 troops for Afghanistan
LONDON (AP) - British Prime Minister Gordon Brown says 10 NATO nations are ready to offer about 5,000 more troops for the war in Afghanistan. Brown's spokesman Simon Lewis said Wednesday the British leader was optimistic over the pledges of additional personnel following talks with about 10 NATO nations in recent weeks.

Bomb in water truck kills 3 in Afghanistan
KABUL (AP) - The Interior Ministry says a remote-controlled bomb hidden in a water truck has exploded in the eastern Afghan province of Khost, which borders Pakistan, killing three people including two children.

Official: Pakistan kills 18 militants
PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) - A security official says 18 militants have been killed in an assault on insurgents blamed for a wave of bombings in the main northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar. Maj. Fazlur Rehman said troops backed by helicopters and artillery launched the offensive Tuesday.
