Google,Virgin Media deals command TiVo spotlight
NEW YORK (AP) - Deals with Google and Virgin Media took the spotlight away from TiVo's fiscal third-quarter loss Wednesday, as analysts said the company stands to benefit from the new agreements. The maker of digital video recorders posted a fiscal third-quarter loss Tuesday. It also announced a U.K. distribution deal with Virgin Media Inc.

Google apologizes for offensive first lady image
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Google Inc. is apologizing for a racially offensive image of the first lady that appears at the top of the list when users search for pictures of Michelle Obama on its site. Google placed a text ad above the image titled "Offensive Search Results" that states "Sometimes our search results can be offensive. We agree."

FCC chairman: Broadband access should be universal
By JILL ZEMAN BLEED Associated Press Writer LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Making broadband Internet access universally available is this century's version of building highways or extending railroads coast-to-coast, the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission said Tuesday.
