  • The I.R.S. indicts Hollywood actor Wesley Snipes on criminal tax fraud charges, alleging that he used the services of fraudulent tax scheme businesses “to make it appear as if...Snipes had no liability for federal income taxes, when in fact [he] had” for approximately $12 million. A judge granted prosecutors’ request to issue an arrest warrant for Snipes. The actor appeared in federal court on December 8, 2006 for the first time to defend the charges.
