    Brian Giles, a San Diego Padres outfielder, was sued by his former girlfriend for palimony and damage claims stemming from years of alleged domestic violence.

    In her recent California lawsuit, Cheri Olvera alleges that Giles reneged on his promises to support her financially, emotionally, and otherwise during their years of living together. She is seeking at least $10 million in damages under a legal theory of 'palimony.'

    Olvera is also seeking damages for claims that she suffered years of domestic violence at the hands of Giles.
