Ashley Alexandra Dupre, the woman who reportedly worked as a prostitute and was paid by former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer for sex at a Washington, D.C. hotel, filed a $10 million lawsuit in federal court against the producers of "Girls Gone Wild" videos and the reported creator of websites.

Dupre seeks damages for a host of legal reaons, including cybersquatting by creating web sites by registering and using domains containing her name.

She also seeks damages for false advertising based upon an "advertising strategy to induce the public to believe that Plaintiff is performing sexual acts in defendant's videos and DVD's," that Joe Francis allegedly offered her "$1,000,000.00 for a new video and promotional tour but...rescinded the offer," and that she appeared in certain of the defendants' products, when she did not.

Dupre's Miami lawyer Richard C. Wolfe seeks copyright damages under the Lanham Act for false designation of origin, and unfair competition, and a variety of related claims under Florida state law.
