Polish-French filmmaker Roman Polanski's California grand jury indictment charging him with sexually molesting a 13-year-old girl in 1977. Following his conviction for having unlawful intercourse with the child, but before his sentencing was issued, Polanski fled and went to Europe where he has remained for more than three decades. |
