  • A grand jury in New York City indicts 3 NYPD officers for the shooting death of an unarmed groom, and the wounding of 2 other people outside of a strip club in Queens County.

    All of the indicted officers are detectives in the NYPD. Detective Michael Oliver and Detective Gescard Isnora face first-degree and second-degree manslaughter chargee in addition to first and second-degree assault charges. Detective Marc Cooper faces two counts of reckless endangerment.

    According to Quees District Attorney Richard Brown, Detective Oliver allegedly fired his weapon 31 times, Detective Isnora allegedly fire 11 times, and detective Marc Cooper allegedly fired his weapon 4 times.
