  • A U.S. Airways passenger was charged with assaulting and slapping a Federal Air Marshal in the first class cabin on a flight from Washington, D.C. to Fort Myers, Florida. The defendant, who was apparently intoxicated, demanded “a Jack Daniels and Coke” from the flight attendant, and told another passenger before the assault: “I don’t know who the guy in front of me thinks he is, but I’m going to whoop his a**.” Unbeknownst to the defendant, the other passenger was another Federal Air Marshal.
