Man accused of killing attorneyBy Matthew Gilbert, Court TV
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Court TV)
A 48-year-old man has been accused of fatally shooting a Memphis lawyer
because he was unhappy with how his divorce case was handled.
Harold Noel was charged Saturday with first-degree murder for allegedly
shooting Robert Friedman in the chest and head in the parking garage of a
Memphis office building on Friday. Noel was reportedly unhappy with how
Friedman handled his divorce case in 1998.
Five hours after the shooting, police apprehended Noel in his home. Noel
then reportedly confessed to the murder.
Noel, who has previously been arrested for burglary and assault, owns a
cleaning company. His next court hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
