Gunmen kill 6 in bar in Mexico border city
The bloodshed raised to 30 the number of homicides in Ciudad Juarez in just four days. A spokesman for prosecutors in northern Chihuahua state, Arturo Sandoval, said there was no immediate information on a motive for the early morning attack at the Amadeus bar. But the methods bore the hallmarks of attacks by drug cartels. Prosecutors later said the four men found dead on a sidewalk elsewhere in the city appeared to have been lined up against a wall and shot to death. About 1,900 people have died in drug-related killings in Ciudad Juarez so far in 2009. The city, which lies across the border from El Paso, Texas, has one of the highest homicide rates in the world. 2009-11-04 21:57:48 GMT
