Romney prods Obama to decide Afghan strategy now

WASHINGTON (AP) - Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is accusing President Barack Obama of acting too slowly to decide what U.S. policy is needed in Afghanistan.

Interviewed on CBS's "The Early Show" Monday, Romney said "this Hamlet performance we're seeing out of the White House has been very disconcerting."

The former Massachusetts governor said "the president has not been able to make a decision" and said that is very unfortunate. Romney said "you should get it right," but he also complained that Obama has left U.S. troops and the people of Afghanistan in doubt about American policy at a time when there also is uncertainty about its presidential election.
