Obamas to greet more than 2,000 trick-or-treaters

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama and the first lady will mark their first Halloween in the White House by handing out treats to trick-or-treaters.

More than 2,000 children from the Washington area and their families will be welcomed at the North Portico.

The president and Michelle Obama will also help host a Halloween reception for military families and the children of White House staffers. Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, will be there.

On Sunday, the president travels to New Jersey to boost the re-election campaign of Gov. Jon Corzine.
