Coleman wins re-election as St. Paul mayor
Chris Coleman's win Tuesday came just weeks after he ruled out a run for governor, saying he wanted to focus on his duties at City Hall. Coleman, a Democrat, outpolled GOP businesswoman Eva Ng (ING) with 68 percent of the vote in unofficial results with 100 percent of precincts reporting. Ng had 26 percent. Minneapolis voters also were picking a new mayor. Incumbent Democrat R.T. Rybak was up against 10 challengers in his campaign for a third term. Rybak seldom engaged his opponents during the campaign, and they accused him of using his office as a stepping stone for a probable run for governor next year. 2009-11-04 02:57:21 GMT
