Judge rethinks denying damages in Mass. mob case
U.S. District Judge William Young has scheduled a hearing Thursday to hear arguments on whether the mothers of Debra Davis and Deborah Hussey are entitled to additional damages. Young wrote "the court realized that it may have given inadequate weight to the availability of loss of consortium damages." Young found the government liable for the slayings of Hussey, Davis, and Louis Litif because of the FBI's mishandling of Bulger and Flemmi. But he ruled the women's mothers were not entitled to compensation because the victims were adults. --- Information from: The Boston Globe, http://www.boston.com/globe 2009-11-03 11:53:22 GMT
