North Carolina counties under flood warnings after storms

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - The National Weather Service has issued flood and tornado warnings for parts of North Carolina after storms dumped up to a half-foot of rain.

Forecasters say radar indicated a tornado over Bailey, although authorities report no major damage.

Several counties are under flood advisories. A thunderstorm brought penny-sized hail to Wendell, about 20 miles east of Raleigh.

Forecasters expect the rain and storms to continue through Monday night.

In northeastern Minnesota, the community of Floodwood is also under a flood warning.
