Moderate quake shakes remote Southern California desert area
The U.S. Geological Survey says the 4.2-magnitude quake struck shortly before 7 p.m. Tuesday near the San Bernardino County town of Ludlow, about 120 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles. San Bernardino County fire dispatch supervisor Jaime Vilches says his department has received no reports of damage or injuries. 2008-04-23 10:42:10 GMT
